Enterprise Change Management and Training Programs for the RIM Program: Course Description
This comprehensive course in an intensive introduction to the concepts and methodologies for effecting positive change in the organization with the introduction of the records management program - physical or electronic. The course content will address the challenges and opportunities of creating significant change in work habits, business strategy and operational processes at both the organizational and individual levels. Detailed instruction on developing and implementing the change management process and maintain effective change will also be presented. Given that user training is a core element of effecting change in the organization, additional emphasis will be placed on the development and delivery of user-focused conceptual and technical training. All participants will receive a course workbook, plan templates, resource guide and glossary of terms.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define what change management is and why the introduction of a records and information management program requires a defined change management methodology.
- Understand and address the challenges associated with the psychology of change at both the organization and individual level.
- Execute the appropriate "foundation" steps leading to the change management process in order to create a successful environment for change.
- Develop and properly execute the necessary communication, training and support plans of a successful change management program.
- Understand and select the appropriate training content and delivery approaches for the organization.

This two-day course is presented as a workshop presentation with learning exercises and adequate time for interactive discussion and questions. There will be a thirty minute discussion period at the end of the session in which participants and the facilitator can exchange experiences and ideas.
