Auditing for Records Management: Course Description
In the same way that an evaluation of corporate financial standing is determined through a financial audit, every organization should periodically audit its recordkeeping policies, procedures, and practices to ensure that they meet business needs and comply with legal and regulatory requirements (Dietel, 2000). This course aims to provide participants with an understanding of the key processes and techniques for auditing organisational records management programmes.

Auditing for Records Management: Course Format
- The topics will be broken down into modules of 1-2 hour each over two days.
- Participants will begin and end the workshop with a knowledge self-assessment as a means of measuring knowledge growth and attainment of learning objectives; time will be left at the end of the workshop to fill remaining knowledge gaps
- The detailed case study will reinforce learned concepts by providing participants with an opportunity to put them into practice in a simulation exercise
