
A 4 -day training workshop focusing on the establishment and implementation of organisation-wide programs for retention of records, regardless of medium. This workshop is intensive and is based on a local organisation chosen as a case study. The initial day will focus on the participants’ visit to the organisation to examine its internal Records Management methods and subsequently to develop a new and/or enhanced corporate Records Retention policy and program for the company, based on the standards and principles learnt in the classroom. This program is a presented as a highly involved, practical and interactive workshop.
Participants benefit from the practical experience of walking into a “live” office environment and creating a retention schedule. This ‘real-life’ experience promotes such confidence enough to proceed with records scheduling in one’s own working environment.
Candidates will learn how to identify various types of records and decide how to manage their life cycles, as well as to develop organisation-wide standards and practical approaches for records and information management.
The workshop provides industry best practices exposure to systems, methodologies and technologies involved in establishing effective Records Retention programs.
